I tried Barbara's Cafe for the first time and the food was absolutely delicious. My Uncle and I both had the pernil with rice and black beans which were flavorful and perfectly cooked along with an order of tostones. The crisp on the pernil skin was perfect. Got to speak to the owner who was super friendly. Will definitely go back and it's awesome to have excellent Latin food so close by without having to drive an hour.

Stopped by right around 6am on a Tuesday and was served hot coffee with a smile! They have made a very cute cafe out of this space and the outside deck seating is a nice touch. We ordered two bacon egg and cheese bagels with SPK and were pleasantly surprised to find they came with fresh bagels and scrambled eggs instead of the standard fried egg. I personally prefer scrambled- but if you want fried you may want to be sure to specify. I also took a slice of tres leches to go and couldn’t resist sneaking a quick bite before writing this review and YUM It’s perfectly moist and sweet and melts in your mouth. Looking forward to coming back again for lunch in the near future. Best of luck to the team at Barbara’s! Oxford is glad to have you.

Barbara’s Café is a cozy and friendly spot with delicious Latin-style food. The service is warm, the Cuban sandwich is excellent, and their tres leches cake is amazing. A great place for breakfast or lunch if you’re in the Oxford, NJ area.

Come a couple of times and each time it’s better. Food is always fresh, hot and yummy. The pernil is great and their portions a filling for sure. Oh not to forget being inside really is homey and cosy feeling
